POLYform C is Polykemi’s product family of plastic compounds based on POM C. Polyform C is characterized by high rigidity, dimensional stability, and low surface friction. POLYform C is available in a complete injection molding product range, including, for example, qualities with reinforcing agents, impact resistant materials and hydrolysis grades. The materials are well suited for durable mechanical constructions requiring low surface friction.

Raw material

POM is an abbreviation of polyoxymethylene. It is a partially crystalline thermoplastic polymer. POM has a relatively high crystallinity, resulting in a material with high stiffness and excellent creep properties. The material is found as both a homopolymer and as a copolymer. It is the copolymer that is the most used of these two variants due to improved processability. The material is well known for having a low surface friction. POM is affected by acids.
