Recycled content in line with the new ELV regulations
Requirements for recycled content in the automotive industry are tightening step by step. Under the EU's new ELV rules, at least 15% of the plastic in new vehicles must be recycled content by 2032, of which 20% must come from end-of-life vehicles. At the same time, the materials still need to deliver the same quality, processability and performance as before.
For material suppliers, this means the challenge is not just about increasing the share of recycled content, but about doing it in a way that works in real-world production. Recycled raw materials have been part of our business since 1968, so this is not a new challenge for us. At Fakuma, we will share more about how we at Polykemi have approached this challenge and give you a first look at our latest development in ELV-R and recycled materials.
