Join us from Polykemi and Rondo Plast at Plastteknik Nordic 2025, taking place May 7-8 in Malmö, Sweden, where we’ll be showcasing our materials through several sustainability perspectives. We’ll highlight how you can reduce your environmental footprint with our Materialsmart® concept, and also share a particularly successful, even award-winning, customer case study.

Visit us at booth C:06 and take the opportunity to try out our material navigator for automotive components.

2024 sustainability report shows strong progress

Our Materialsmart® concept, which lets us compare the environmental impact of different materials, showed great results last year, as reported in our latest sustainability report — largely thanks to customers who made smart material choices.

“We can already share that our CO₂ savings in 2024 have surpassed those of 2023. In 2023, we reduced emissions equivalent to those from 5,000 cars in one year. This year’s results show we’ve raised the bar even further,” says Gustav Hugoson, Area Sales Manager at Polykemi.

Recycled PP in UWR’s award-winning innovation

One customer who made a smart material choice is Urban Water Retention (UWR). They won an award in March at the Aquatech Innovation Awards in Amsterdam, in the category Transport and Process & Control, for their product that helps prevent flooding in urban areas.

“The collaboration with UWR focused on finding a recycled material that could meet very high stiffness requirements. When we landed on a customized PP, our customer was able to cut their carbon footprint by as much as 65-70 percent,” says Gustav Hugoson.

ISCC PLUS certification for recycled material

At the fair, we’ll also be sharing news about our new ISCC PLUS certification, which now includes recycled plastics from Rondo Plast.

“We’ve already had ISCC PLUS certification for our bio-circular PP materials from Polykemi and Scanfill. Now, we’ve been granted certification for recycled materials from Rondo Plast as well. A corresponding certification for Polykemi is in progress, since that’s where our recycled materials are sold internationally,” says Gustav Hugoson.

Be sure to ask us how this could benefit you as a producer when you stop by our booth!

Try our material navigator for automotive components

This year at Plastteknik Nordic, visitors can get hands-on experience with our Material Navigator for automotive components — a tool that’s gained a lot of interest at other trade fairs. The navigator lets you explore our full range of materials specially developed for interior and exterior vehicle applications, as well as under-the-hood parts, based on for example PP, ABS, PC/ABS, and PA.

Come meet Patrik, Gustav, Johan, Anders, Fredrik, and Henrik at booth C:06 — joined by our Danish representative, Viggo!
